Apparently console cup holders are rare!

Bought a used 2015 Silverado z71 2LT. Dealer pics showed the two cup cup holder installed in the center console, but wasn't there for the test drive or when I picked it up. Said they'd order one and ship it to me. 2.5 weeks later, apparently it is still on back order. Never mind they have 1000 trucks on the lot, probably with one in each one of them, or the fact that they are available on Amazon and eBay.

Minor deal, but frustrating. Vent mode off!

Very little reason they couldn't pull one out of another in stock truck and give it to you?

That's what I am saying. I'll give them a few more days and then it's on.

Depends on the trucks they have on the lot. GM changed the design for the 2016/2017 models and the cupholder is not removeable.

Do you have their "promise" in writing?

Unfortunately no........so knowing my luck I'll be buying one here shortly.

Buy one just in case, somewhere where it can be returned, or If they send you the "promised one" you will have spots for 4 cups.

If they started to do that, where do they draw the line with picking parts off of vehicles? I'd hope this missing cup holder would be noted on the bill of sale...

If it was in there during the test drive, it'd be a different story. If it was just in the pics and you didn't physically

see it in there when you took it for a drive, then......

eBay should have them for a decent price.

Any chance you might have the part number? I'm slowly collecting all the pieces so I can do the swap next.

I agree, cheapest I could find shipped is like $105 or so.

According to the dealer's parts dept they have one available in Chicago, so shouldn't be too long to get it. Granted I don't have it it writing, that's my fault. Long gone are the days of verbal agreements, I get it.......which is sad.

    • Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.
    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
