It's a nice feature. I use it out of habit every time I park. The process has become "automatic".

I for one am glad it is NOT automatic. My 2013 did not have power fold mirrors and it was the first mod that I did to it, and one night at work we had a wet snow that turned to ice. When I went to unfold the mirrors the drivers side took a crap because of the frozen snow. I added the power fold on my 14 but will never make that mistake again. JMO...

I press/hold (about 2 seconds) the lock button on the FOB as I walk away, to fold them.

Press/Hold the unlock button until the second flash of the corner lights to unfold them.  If you hold the unlock past the second flash, the windows will ALL lower.

We had a good coat of dew a few weeks ago, and my folded mirrors and the adjacent glass was dry.  Likewise, last winter, frost not on my folded mirrors, nor the section of windows next to them.

Glad I found this I was wondering the same thing. Pretty minor to have to hold the button for an extra second but kind of silly imo to allow me to turn it on/off in settings like it is something that is prompted by the truck locking or being put in park. Also nice to learn about the windows down with the unlock but no windows up with the lock? 10 year old Audis have these features.

Yeah, my '06 & '10 Ridgelines would roll the windows up, but you had to use the driver's door keyhole.  The windows would remote/key down, but only key up, double-clutching all three options.  My Ridgelines would also power to the rear slider and sunroof, but you have to hold the interior switches to do it, would not do open/close off of the remote or the keyhole otherwise.  Haven't played with my truck enough to see if it will do the same as my Ridgelines did.

My wife's pilot rolls the windows down if the fob unlock gets pressed for a couple seconds in our pockets. It's super annoying and I wish we could disable it.

Interesting, never tried the single press method with our '16 Pilot, when we had it.  Could have swore that the current generation still required double-clutching the unlock to roll the windows down.  I'll do some digging in the Piloteer forum to see if others had the same issue and came up with any solutions, but it may be as simple as digging around through the settings on the vehicle.

I use the “auto fold” only on occasion but I bought I’ve seen them go back into place upon putting the truck in reverse.   Am I wrong?

They don't go out until you request it with the button  or the fob.

Which is good, for those that fold them in to get through the garage door.....

It's called an "Owner's Manual" --- one comes with every new vehicle.

I think that maybe he looked. I looked at the manual but didn't find anything. You know you can just save yourself some time and avoid posting if you aren't going to be helpful.

    • IMNTBHO;  the worst thing for the 6L80 is to be lugged down to low engine rpm while in high gear......AKA, to save fuel.   I rarely use D on my '16 with the 6L80 and use M mode to keep engine RPM above 1500 at the speed I'm driving, which is also benefiticial for the tranny because line pressure is kept up because the pump is actually turning a decent speed, and it's not always hunting to drop to the next gear to lower the engine RPM's.   Never above 30mph.............M3, maybe M4 if just driving thru a small NoDak town Never above 40mph............M4 Never above 50-55mph.............M5   This is way better for the tranny and the engine.........especially if AFM is still active.   262K miles on my OEM 6L80 as I type this.
    • If they had nuclear material for "11 nukes" we'd have seized it.    Our military has been rendered either too weak/dumb to seize it, or they don't have it. Your pick,K-nut. Because right now we're fighting over who gets to toll oil tankers in the strait.    I hope you're man enough to admit you've been taken for a ride when it's finished.

    • And you're obviously full of it too.  Apparently anything he does is perfect to you.  Don't you think this whole ordeal would have been better if he had maybe thought it all through first before bombing Iran at the request of his bffs in Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar?  They are the ones that had the biggest issue with Iran.  Thus they have been pouring the platitudes and giving gifts/bribes to him.  Had he thought about the consequences of what would happen to the Strait before starting anything, we wouldn't have this issue.  Now he is stuck with no way out of this mess.  But you have your head stuck way deep in his rabbit hole to see anything else.  So no, I don't have TDS.  I see what he is.  The derangement is yours from no oxygen in the rabbit hole.
    • Bringing of the fact that every President has said the same thing. They can’t have nukes. I guess you missed that before epic fury they said they had enough product for 11 nukes and weren’t giving it up. That not political or polarizing. The opposition of that is and giving aid to the enemy. The mandate is decades old through many administrations. The difference is TDS.
