2004 rim changes

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 with 245/75/r16" factory rims on it. 
Can I go 17" ......245/75/r17s?

yes, the rim size doesn't matter its the tire diameter. google your tire sizes and it will tell you what they are in inches. as long as the outer diameter is the same or about the same youre fine. I think most truck can handle a 32" tire without a leveling kit
