Upgrade to LED bulbs

I just put in a set of the Morimoto 2stroke led's into my 14 sierra. They work great so far.

Did you need to install the relay harness with those? Also, did they fit behind the dust cap?

I just installed LED headlight bulbs in my 14 Sierra. The stock projectors have halogen bulbs. I got mine from xenonhids.com. Come with lifetime warranty. Had them a week and look good so far!

No relay harness is needed but I did need the anti-flicker module. No, there was no way to get everything behind the dust cap.

Thanks. That’s interesting because I’ve ran two different brand LEDs in my 2014 Sierra & neither needed the anti-flicker module.
One would think either all 2014s would need them or they wouldn’t. Same goes for the LEDs. I don’t get it...

I have a 2017 Suburban LT with the factory headlights.  I am kicking around the idea of upgrading to LED headlights, probably just the high beams due to cost.  Has anyone done this?  What brand are you using? Likes, dislikes?

I posted this in the Suburban page without much luck.  I figured I would try here next.

I have a 2014 Silverado LTZ and a 2018 Yukon SLT.  I have changed all halogens to LED.

They look good and no more yellow headlights.

To be honest, the low beams are about the same brightness as OEM halogens (through projectors), but the high-beams are off-the-charts for brightness! (Because of reflectors).

These are the LED's that I put in my '18 Yukon.  AUXITO Automobile H8 H9 H11 LED Headlight Bulbs

No flicker, no need for reverse-polarity adapters, plug-n-play.  Bases are small, so they easily fit behind the dust covers.  Even though the manufacturer said the dust covers didn't need to be ventilated, I purchased the flex-rubber dust-covers that allow fan to vent heat to the engine bay.

How are these with DRLs?

The '18 Yukon has separate DRL's, so I don't know.

The 14 Silverado, I used a different LED bulb and the DRL's work perfectly, but they cost twice as much and the fan housings are twice as large:  OPT7 Fluxbeam H11 LED Headlight Kit w/ Clear Arc-Beam Bulbs - 60w

That's why I switched brands for the Yukon... needed the smaller fan housings and didn't need to be concerned about DRLs since they are a separate set of lights.

If the leds in the fogs are sufficient to not need high beams. You're probably blinding all the drivers you're going against. You should avoid that considering fogs should be aimed low and wide not high up.

the aftermarket fog lights connected to the factory connection so i did not make any angel adjustments. The LED fogs are 35w and about 6,000 lumens. You dont buy aftermarket led bulbs if you care about other motorist on the road honestly.
