Led reverse pods

Anyone install led reverse pods? Is it just simple tAp into the reverse wire and ground?

WELCOME  - I mounted a pair of 2x6 pod's under the bumper ,on the hitch cross bar. one on each end and turn out a little . wire to reverse light driver side

Here's a little light reading. I posted an idea a while back to put lights inside the bumper step area, so I wouldn't have anything hanging down to hit snow piles. Scroll through to see how some people have installed the rigid cubes in there. There is another smaller button LED light that has been used. I'm planning to try that when I get around to having some free time. Hope this helps!

I just realized you are running an older truck. so the bumper step idea is out.

 

I installed some small lights under my hitch bracket on my old 1998. I ran switched power back to the lights and grounded them to the mounting bolts. I liked the results, but kept getting snow packed in and around the lights. If you want them to come on automatically with reverse, just tap into the wires going to your trailer plug.
