Getting a new touch screen: Sometimes warranties pay.

My new to me 2015 SLT Sierra has a dead area in the touch screen at the top. Normally I would have said no to buying all the extended warranties they sell, but this time I opted for the certified pre owned and 2 other factory packages. Turns out I hit the jackpot as the dead screen is a $1500 part and fully covered plus install under the pre owned warranty without using the other which has deductible. Still would not buy an aftermarket warranty, and I probably got lucky with GM, but I'll take it and run.

I have had to use my aftermarket warranty and the factory warranty on mine. As a matter fact I used the factory again yesterday. So far each of my complaints have been taken care of. I have about 2400 miles left on my 100k mile warranty.

Glad it all worked out. Got mine back yesterday. No cost on the pre owned warranty, so happy day.

The screen is not a $1500 part, but hey, not paying > paying nonetheless!

I'm sure they mark it up to get their cut.

You can find the screens used for 1-200.  Not bad IMO.  Still, not paying anything is better.

Good..it should be covered on a 2015 regardless of mileage

My seat heater went out and its not under warranty on my 2015... apparently the warranty ended in November.. and I only have 17k miles
