Electronic sound for a moment when opening drivers side door

Not sure what it is, maybe the fuel pump, i have no idea, but after the truck has been sitting for a long while, hear it mostly in the mornings when its sat over night, when i open the drivers door, there is a faint motorish sound.

At first i thought maybe it was the seat or maybe even the adjustable pedal, but not sure, had the same truck as a rental and noticed the same things.. doubt its an issue, just curious what it is..

Hello, the noise is fine, I just can’t remember why it does it, I think maybe the fuel pump. I get it on my 2017 GMC Serra and it’s nothing to worry about. I just can’t remember why it do s it, but be assured it’s nothing to worry about.

It is a prime for the fuel pump to decrease cranking time.  First time I heard it I thought the truck was possessed.  Totally normal.

Yes 2017 and newer 1/2 ton do a fuel pump prime when the door is opened after sitting.

When I open the door on my 2014 you can hear and see the radio head unit firing up. Sounds like the hard drive spinning up to me.

I know on my 2017 it's the fuel pump.  Does it after it's been sitting overnight, but not when I get in it after work.  Must be like a 12 hour window?

thanks for the replies and clarification. I figured it was nothing to worry about, was just curious what it was and why i would only hear it from time to time.
