Hi All,

I am new to the forum. Just recently experienced something strange when the car was left in drive and foot not on the gas pedal. It appeared as if the truck was automatically applying the breaks and goes to a complete stop. I parked the car, checked underneath to see if something got stuck or tires grinding into the side walls or mud flaps falling off but did not see anything. Checked the break pads and it did not smell burnt.

Am I missing something

Was it the hill holder? Keeps the truck from rolling back at a stop on a hill...it holds the brakes until throttle is applied.

Thanks for the reply. The car is on flat ground. I did play around with the settings of 4 wheel HI and 4 wheel low. I guess it was found it only when I had it to 4 wheel Hi mode. Not sure why it would do this in this mode
