2018 NYC Auto Show

I just came back from the 2018 NYC auto show and found out that there were no 2019 Silverado models present only the 2018 models were shown. I went and asked a Chevrolet representative there why this was the case and this person implied that there would be some possible changes to the final product due to some negative comments at the Detroit show that were made about the styling of the exterior and interior of the model. It will be interesting to see if this is the case

Didn't GMC have the Denali and AT4 there?  They both have the same interior as the Silverado.  Maybe GM did not want the Silverado competing with the Sierra or maybe he was just blowing smoke. I'm not 100% sold on the interior but at this point I think it is a little late for a major over hall from what we have seen.

When the Denali owners start jumping to the new Navigator interior (which looks Land Rover inspired) GM will soon realize they are way behind AGAIN. The Silverado doesnt seem to be up to par with the Ram or Navigator. I have a 2017 Denali and hate the seats, and find the interior unimpressive, and ordinary. I was very disappointed with the looks of the next generation....we'll see? Love the 6.2/8speed but..........

Yeah GM isn’t changing $hit.

Why?

1. It’s GM.

2. it’s too late. Crew cabs are already being produced. See newsroom thread.

3. It’s GM.

Interesting idea.  If they do make changes a lot of prototypes will go to the crusher!  It must be incredibly challenging to design a vehicle that will appeal to the largest number of buyers. (Not unlike writing a hit song)  I'm sure whatever they do will be met with both support and criticism.  In this thread we find members who dislike the new interiors but like the engine choices.  My initial impressions are the opposite!  Sales over the next year or two will determine how well they did with this generation of trucks.
