DIY paint protection film

Has anybody done the paint protection film themselves? How do it go installing it? Where did you get the film from. My only issues is a I don’t have a garage to do it in. 

 

i have tinted my vehicle windows in the past, from what I see the process is about the same.

I bought the film at my local tint shop to use on specific areas of my motorcycles to protect the paint. Create a template using sheets of newspaper or thin cardboard. Clean the surface well and wet liberally and apply the film. Squeegee out any bubbles from center toward the edges. A cool place in the shade is a must as once the water starts to squeeze out it begins to stick.

Its not the same as tint. It stretches and pulls. A little heat helps on contours. I have found it easy on simple stuff but took it to my buddy's shop for the hood and any complex curves. It can be very fustrating. Good luck
