Hey all,

its hard to explain but is there a way to make my headlights go off and to to the daytme running light horseshoe feature faster? they are on auto and seem to never go off..

2017 gmc sierra all terrain.

unless i have like direct sunlight on my dash my headlights are on.. i want to take off the little black cover on my sensor but it will look bad..

i see other trucks like mine rolling around in the daytime and they have the horse shoe on but my headlights are on.. i didn't know if there was a remedy to this..

anyone know what i could do?

thanks

If I were you I'd probably spend $15 and replace the sensor and see if that helps and if it doesn't then return the sensor. Much easier than spending a few hours dealing with your local dealership. Mine is a little too sensitive under bridges and I hate that the screen goes into night time mode on Android Auto but doesn't happen enough for me to try and make any changes.

I had that issue on my 07 Yukon. Replaced the sensor and the problem was solved.

My Silverado is a little oversensitive too but that's due to the windshield tint I had installed.

so even if its been doing it since it was new replace it just to make sure?

im guessing i just remove it from top of dash and its under it?

Do you have tint?  That could be a contributing factor.

yes 5% all the way around, but still with light beaming in , lights stays on
