couple quick audio (loc) questions

So seeing as how this axxess dsp isnt bandpass capable . I guess I’m left with a couple options.

Get new speakers which I’d be looking at over 500 I’d say to get a nice quality set.

Get a new 4 channel amp that has a bandpass filter on it which I don’t believe my current one has I’ll have to double check tho.

Or tie in my mini dsp 2x4 into the mix which costs
Me nothing since I’ve had It for like 3 years.

Thoughts?

Good quality 6x9, 6.5, and 2.5 or tweeters are a lot more than 500 for all 3 sets.

Most amps have some sort of crossover usually 4 channels will have hpf and full range. Some will have lpf depending.

Good amps are very pricey.

All that being said depending on amp you have I’d upgrade the door speakers to good ones either way as with a solid amp you want crisp sounds and not distortion. The speakers and amp provide that.

Active 2 way upfront which I’m trying to achieve , doesn’t require 6x9s, or 2.5 for the dash requires a mid and a tweeter. Not sure why anyone would even bother with 6x9s in the front doors which is what these things come with. Properly done front stage doesn’t require rear speakers they only cause issues.

Ok so i was not able to take a screen shot of the Rockford app for the dsp since i was in edit..but i did figure out u dont need a dsp to use and play with the dsp settings so i would recommend u download the app select advance set up an look at the equ in the dap 1 u can set up ur speakers config and than use the equ to do the pass u want

U could check the antenna grinding and connections other than that u can buy a power antenna for an impala or Camaro that will bust ur signal and save u the taking it off on every carwash

Ok I'll try that. That's a good thing about these app controlled dsps, you can play with the app before you buy them. Except for the axxess one lol

Yea the rock is set up in the same way except u selct the speaker and adjust them individually or in groups they dont call it crossover tho and to some ppl thats confusing.

You are correct, sir. I had to build my vehicle to get it to show, but it is in there.

Haha I used android too so not sure what happened on your end. 

 

I'll let you know if I go that route. I still might go with the Alpine since I won't have to buy two additional amps to run the system. I have very limited space in my truck.

I just confirmed the Rockford will do a 4 way active setup, and it costs 50 bucks less than the Axxess

Sure think man ..if u want to save space and do one amp look into the kenwood Exelon line of amps they have some sweet stuff
