couple quick audio (loc) questions

For those of you looking to go active I recommend that you check out the Madisound speaker store. They sell well reviewed raw drivers at a fraction of what you would pay for brand name component sets.

I would also like to ask if these DSP's that y'all are talking about offer any kind of time alignment? This is very crucial in properly setting up an active system.

I think I am leaning toward the JL fix and twk setup.  It seems that after a lot of reading reviews there are still some bugs being worked out of the rockford dsp still.  I know its about 800 more but I think it will be worth it in the end.  I think im going to switch up my alpine pdx-v9 to power mids and tweets seperatly and eliminate the jl cross over and 5th channel on the sub, then for the rears do a really small 2 channel.  with all of this still fitting under the center console.  I am considering one of those micro / mini nvx amps.

 

Let me know what you guys think.  I have a friend who is a sound engineer and will RTA everything

The jl is great u really cant go wrong with it especially since u know what ur doing and looking 4..i can tell u the nvx mini amps are awsome and powerful there just a pain to wire in since the terminal blocks are so small but definitely worth it we instead 4 of them in taho about 2 years ago and the customer was in last month for a new stereo she loves them .there subs are spectacular too

I installed the 4 channel on a food truck. It came out really nice.

So do any of the DSP's mentioned make the chime sounds lower or go away other then the Metra one? 

 

Mainly looking for that, getting tired of the loud chimes every time the truck starts
