Centennial/Heritage Bow Ties

I hadn't looked in a while but just noticed the centennial side door emblems are no longer restricted.

I've got those emblems on my 17' I had to make slight modifactions for my front emblem to sit properly, I'm thinking either the grill is slightly different on the 18' or on the centennial truck grill than the 16' and 17' grills.....

Installed the 2018 front emblem on my 2017 LT with no mods, but it clips into the grill a little looser than the OEM black emblem?

Love the looks and it matches the Ocean Blue paint color too!

Yes, it's looser, and the outer clips face the opposite direction, and the clips are smaller and the emblem is not as thick..... Which is why I made slight modification to it so that it doesn't move around anymore.
By they way mine's on a blue truck also, and I agree that it looks great with the blue!

Thanks for posting this I wanted a set of door badges when I purchased my truck but of course they could not sell them to me  I now have a set on order.

GM originally had them all on national control, stock was not available for people to add them to a non-centennial edition but it looks like the restriction was lifted. Not sure where you ordered them through but I work at GMPartsNow.com, I set up a promo code for people on the forum for 5% off (FORUM5).

I built out with two way tape( but only removed the sticky on one side so I could pull it back off) various areas that were thinner on the new emblem compared to the original emblem, until it no longer moved. Trial and error process..... Until it felt good and tight.
May be other ways to do it, but that's what I came up with.
I don't believe that the emblem would ever "fall out" if you did nothing, but I couldn't stand it moving every time you would want to wash it, or knowing that it's moving slightly in the wind and potentially putting wear marks on the outer portions of the grill.
