You will have to get a new bumper , even if you bang it out the chrome will separate from the base metal , I have not seen someone  PDR steel bumpers,  those ebay bumpers will definitely   pass a lease return ,  as long as its aligned properly  ! I would try that route If I was in that boat , the truck probably ,depending on milage , is worth more than whats left on it keep it !

I agree that  "those ebay bumpers" may  pass a lease return but if op plans to keep the truck I recommend oem.  My one experience with non-oem resulted in a rusty eyesore in 2 years.

I actually ended up turning the truck in and getting into a new Colorado Z71. So far I haven't heard anything from GM Financial about the bumper damage, but everything else on the truck was great so it might be within my $500 range of forgivable excess wear and tear.
