mrskiff Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I have a 2018 Silverado double cab. It has a 2.25 inch level but not sure that matters. I have a bad lean in the rear. My passenger side sits 1 inch higher then the driver side. The front is even. Anyone else have the issue and if so how do i fix it. New leaf pack? Its very noticeable Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
blue_bullet Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 My 02 Duramax had the same problem. A local alignment shop adjusted the front end to even up the left rear so it was level with the right rear.
mrskiff Posted August 31, 2018 Author Posted August 31, 2018 Thanks for the info. What in the front end was out of spec to affect the rear? My 02 Duramax had the same problem. A local alignment shop adjusted the front end to even up the left rear so it was level with the right rear. Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
silveradosid Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 why not just take it back to the dealer should be warranty, the 02 had a different suspension

Sent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk They make adjustments in the front that just affect the rear. Take it to an alignment shop or a good dealer

Sierra Dan Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 This is known as a chevy lean. I have read about it somewhere on here. Go here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/193752-anyway-to-fix-chevy-lean/

Go here: https://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/193752-anyway-to-fix-chevy-lean/ Thank you. Read through the link. A lot of the replies talked about fixing truck yourself with homemade spacers to mask what is really causing the truck to lean. My truck is outside the GM specs and just trying to find someone with the same problem and what was the cause and how did GM fix the leaning problem. Possible leaf springs out of spec, possible body mount? Very curious to find answers before taking truck back to dealer as this problem was not listed in current service or technical bulletins.
mrskiff Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 From what im gathering its fairly normal. I will most likely be lifting my truck so im hoping having new blocks and/or rear leafs fixes itSent from my SM-G950W using Tapatalk
Sierra Dan Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Mine had a 1" lean. Found it to be bad factory Rancho shocks. They were shot and driver rear was binding and sagging.

Was the binding and sagging the leafs and shackle and could they be loosened, then bounce or cycle the suspension and then tighten back up with the weight back on the springs to get truck leveled(or close) ? Or did the sagging require new leafs?
Sierra Dan Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 My lean was a result of a stuck worn out shock simply not holding up the driver side rear as much as passenger side.
