Bed Net?

Recommended Posts

Guys,

Trying to find a cargo net I can put across the back of the truck. I just need something for throwing stuff in after shopping to keep it from sliding around.

I want something to go near the tailgate and clip to the top and bottom tie down rings.

Any recommendations? Ideally I would like one that has pockets in the netting if possible.

Thanks.

I bought one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VTZJLBR/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but was never really happy with it. it wasn't very strong and stuff would still slide under it.

You know there are indents in the side of the bed to put a fence?

I just did this. Took 2 x 2x4s, clamped them together to make a 2x8, chamfered the corners for a better fit and painted it black. Cost nothing as I already had all the stuff.

Thanks. Really would be nice to find something made of plastic to do something similar, but I may end up having to go buy a board.

That or a bed extender, just afraid the extender will still make things too sloppy.

I have a 3" wide ratchet strap that I keep in the back of my truck strung between the two lower tie down points.  It secures 95% of the stuff I put in my bed close to the back and it's adjustable if I need to go a little deeper in the truck bed.

Thanks. My father-in-law has one and I was also thinking about it. May just grab a 2x10 and stain it since I have some black stain already.

Though I need to look up the ratchet bar since it may cost as much as a 2x10.

There is something plastic that you can use or at least it is close to plastic. Go to Lowes or Home depot or whatever is in your area and look for composite decking boards. Get one, cut it down to size and you will be set. These don't warp, shrink or fade and will last for a long time.
