I understand where you are coming from though. I am one who doesnt want to wait. But when it comes to big ticket items, get what brings you the most joy first. Yes, buy parts and let them sit until you are ready to do the whole job. Its like buying a leveling kit, putting it on, and then a month later you wanna put a whole lift kit on. And it's all gotta come apart again.

So after waiting for like 6 months for this kit to come out. It never did. We were going back and fourth with PAC and they just said, soon..... Thats the only reason i went with the Nav-TV piece. The PAC piece is only $450, but without a definitive time when it would be released, I was forced to spend the extra money for the Nav-TV unit. I also think its way better. But it was $400 MORE.... I guess its out now. So, if you want the integration with plug and play, its another option.

Oh I know haha

Yea, believe me I know. And seriously miss my last stereo. But I'm just not ready to do a whole teardown on a brand new truck. I'm thinking with just my subs I'll be content long enough to do my lift, tires, and custom tune

just tear it all out an do it once.

What VXI amp do you have? I have the 800/8i and the 600/1i, and the VXI hub. Love them. Totally cool to tune via bluetooth and my cell phone.

I have the 600/6i powering my 3 way front setup.  The dual 8'' microsub+ has it's own built in 500w amp, but the good thing is the 600/6i has 2 non-powered channels that are still controlled and tuned with the software.

3 star with 2 reviews. Yes. Way cheaper than my NAV-TV which was $850.  But mine has optical out and works perfectly. No firmware updates needed.  Some have said that the quality of the audio out is just ok.  I say, you get what you pay for.

Oh I hear you. And when the time comes for me to do a whole system I still may go the nav tv route.

That has optical out as well via toslink.

I was reading up about it. Seems most on diyma are happy with it. Time will tell

I think I may try the NavTV dsp. I have the Axxess AX-DSP. While it does work and controls chimes, it has a bug where it mutes the left speaker when turn signals are used. I guess this is their way of making it so that you can hear the signal chime? Lol. It’s annoying.

Ive had it for a while and cant be happier. It was super easy to install. And just a single optical cable from the front to the jl hub and then to the amps. No rca wires at all.

The thing is, once you install it and its done, you never know its there.

Since i have the nav-tv, all i can talk about is mine. If i had the amp pro unit, all i could talk about is that one. So its kind of unfair for me to really compare. I can tell you that if the amp pro unit was out and had good reviews when i was ready to do my install, i would have bought it. I mean, it is like 450 cheaper.

Also, the NAV-TV unit isnt a DSP. It basically just takes a pure flat audio signal out. Either rca or optical, or both.  Then that signal can go to amps. My JL VXI amps have the capability to tune to exact desired frequencies.
