@Todd1982, if you can duplicate this again, I'd definitely be interested in buying one as I've had the HUD parts for a few years now and still haven't got around to installing them.  This would definitely give me some motivation.

Found a totaled Yukon denali that's being parted out. Gonna take off HUD projector and switch. I know I need to source the windshield, bezel, and wiring harness. already have denali cluster programmed by white automotive. Is there anything else I need?

Get ready to cut some stuff up. You also need the hud dash trim piece from a (2012 I believe)Camaro. This video you can see the dash trim piece.

Thanks everyone for making this possible!  I'm starting to order parts to add HUD to my 2019 Silverado 3500 High Country.  I have a question about the right HUD unit I need, can someone please confirm the right GM part number?  This should be easy but because my truck is a 2019 it seems it's that odd year where GM changed the body style on the 1500s and not the HDs.  I just grabbed GM 84395830.  Will it work?  https://www.ebay.com/itm/235999582135

I followed your instructions and worked out great, went to the scrap yard and procured 2016 escalade cluster, hud, bezel, and switch. Got lucky and found a Camaro in the u-pull with the HUD bezel.

 

I made my own harness with these diagrams:

I used escalade cluster because its the best one that will work IMO. Still need to get it programmed but it looks really good.
