No, now that it's 15 below you can see frost where it is damp/wet.  Dealer is very open and honest and said GM is EXTREMELY reluctant to replace headliners and makes them try all kinds of cleaning techniques first.  Mine is black and shows no signs of damage and the frost area is pretty small on the passenger side.  As long as it's dry and no mold, I'd rather they don't replace it.

I've yet to see a 2019 built before 10/18 with a rear slider that DOESN'T LEAK.

Mines the medium grey. Looks like $hit on a white rabbit. Yea from reading other posts it pulling the front window to replace the headliner. May have another leak if they do that.

If you think about it the headliner is very similar material like outdoor carpet on the floors and those get wet all the time from snow and rain. As long as they can get the stains out might as well just keep your existing headliner if it doesn't smell moldy. my concern all along was the rear airbags are right there where all that water is going but the service department says that they're all sealed and they would be fine anyway

Did they get stains outta your headliner??

No mine on my 19 was replaced since it sat on lot leaking for 6 months before I bought it. So it had multiple stains. My 20 replacement I caught the leak early so the headliner didn't get wet

I have experienced the same leak in the upper corners of new AT4. Less than 3000 miles. My dealership tried to fix it twice with a bead of silicone. Not the right fix. Looks terrible and still leaked. Felt helpless when dealing with them. Then it was sent to a supposed glass specialist. When I got my truck back the rear headliner would stay in place and there was a 12 inch scratched area of paint An inch wide scratched away on the roof above the third brake light. This specialist had scratched the paint away to the metal. My truck is now at the paint and body shop for repairs on a brand new truck. This sucks!!!

Something isn't adding up. Carfax gives very detailed service records on used cars, and also if a vehicle was a buyback or lemon sold at auction. I spent half an hour clicking on every 2019 Silverado nationwide I could find with a car fax report. I must have looked at a 100 trucks or more. Mostly all upper trim trail bosses, ltz, and high country that for sure have sliding rear windows.

First I didn't find a single 2019 that was listed as a salvage title/lemon/buyback. So this means Chevy hasn't started selling off any 2019s they bought back to auction.

Second, NOT A SINGLE VEHICLE SHOWED SERVICE FOR A LEAKING WINDOW!!!!

I saw lots of generic records for "vehicle serviced" but no window leaks. Some of the vins were early build trucks too so they are almost guaranteed to leak.

Something doesn't add up.

That's very odd although I've never seen what is on a Carfax of a vehicle that's been bought. Do recalls get posted on the Carfax?

Yes, open recalls are posted. On the maintenance / repair side, my dealer doesn’t report squat. Checked my CarFax awhile back and nothing. Not even an oil change, let alone the numerous visits for every other problem I’ve had. Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing. Also not sure if they are obligated to do any of that.

Sure are an awful lot of low mileage used 2019s on autotrader. I got tired of looking but I did see one 2019 LTZ that reports a rear window having been replaced.

I would imagine if this particular truck was a buyback, it would HAVE to be on the CarFax though. So the lemons probably haven’t been released for sale yet. Not surprising since most of these issues haven’t really even had a proper fix available yet. I’m still not convinced that even replacing the window will last. Maybe I’m better off with my caulk. It’s flexible at least. ??‍♂️

Well some of the reports showed software updates, brake system replacements, even wiper blades and running boards being installed.

Also very odd that many of the used upper trim trucks came from various state highway departments. What does a highway department need a high country for? Must be they didn't have any work trucks at first production so they filled orders with ltz and high country

Wow so there is one. Weird it says service facility not a dealer.

I know they do show buyback s on Carfax. There is a dozen here local f150s that were all bought back for freezing door locks.

    • Common Sense Assembly   Your driveline is forgiving of the occasional mistake. It will even often forgive the random serious blunder. But it will not forgive a continuous bad habit.      What? Not everything needs to be a five thousand word essay.
    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
    • That part I understand, that the dealer can do it. But I'm not understanding why updates that were available to the truck since it left the factory, or the dealership originally, would not still be available to it without dealer intervention.   I'm thinking along the lines of recalls. They stay available until they are completed, regardless of whether they are in warranty or not, or in the hands of the original owner or not. Why not updates as well, especially since some of those can be safety related also?
