I don't use rabbit ears on my TV and certainly don't listen to terrestrial radio (I can't imagine why anyone would - much better content elsewhere).  As such, AM/FM reception is 100% useless.

Any good either short antennas or antenna delete setups out there?  I don't want to just unscrew it and have a threaded post sticking out.  I'm not sure why these trucks are in the stone ages with a floppy metal antenna anyway, as it isn't necessary to get decent AM/FM reception.

I like antenna n my lifted trucks.

The antenna is typically slightly higher than the roofline - if it scrapes then it’s a warning that clearance is tight.

I keep a small wrench in my glovebox to remove it for car washes.

But yeah, I put a shorty rubberized one on my non-lifted suburban.

I bought a Ronin off Amazon.  I had it on my Duramax and took it off before I traded it in on my 2019. The threads are the same.

I have the “stubby” brand off amazon. I listen to Pandora 90% of the time and Xm when there is a free trial going on like now. Very very rarely use am/fm. Cleans up the look a lot.

Here’s mine. Like most others I only listen to SiriusXM and my iPhone. Not really into listening to mainstream radio. e892c6d5fcc749b6ae3c94115462fa92.jpg

I think the stubby antennas look worse and are more noticeable than the stock antennas

I'm going to flip mine, I tried doing it last time I had my battery out but didn't have a tool at home to pop out the plastic clip behind the fender to get more slack in the antenna lead.

You can flip the antenna mount and run the antenna itself upside down in the fender.

I agree on the panel. I wonder if an escalade panel works like on the gm800 trucks
