2016 GMC Denali H/L bulb upgrade

Is there a simple Bulb change to upgrade headlights on 2016 Denali ?

To what? They already came with the LED bulb from the factory.

What model Denali is this on? 1500, 2500, 3500? Just saying "Denali" is like asking about a Chevy LT and expecting everyone to know what you're talking about. It's a trim level not a model.  

The 1500 Denali's come from the factory with LED's. The 2500 & 3500 are halogen.

So you already have LED's. I've been told by my dealership service department that they are non serviceable. Take that with a grain of salt based on where I got the info, but it wouldn't surprise me if it is true. The lower trim levels of these trucks have HID bulbs that would be an easier replacement. 

That said, what are your complaints with the stock lights? If it is just high beam performance it may be easier and more effective to add some kind of LED light bar.

No hi beams seem ok it’s the lack of distance on low I am concerned with and it is a 1500.

I'd agree my 15 Denali light output in my opinion is not great compared to my other vehicles..

Unfortunately my friend, there isn't much you can do about this on your particular truck .. GM engineers have been doing a piss poor job with headlights over the last few years. Those headlights of yours are completely sealed unit. The only thing that can be done is to bake the lights open and then do a retrofit of a Morimoto D2S 5.0 projector. That is a $600+ endeavor to get it done. I can do it for you if you wanted.

Looks like I’m stuck with the setup — what’s your thinking of a light bar to augment the low beam distance or would it over correct and act as a hi beam

'14-'15 is the old style head lamps.

 

Love the headlamps on my '18. Any further on low beam and it would be too high IMO. Better than the HID's in my BMW or in my last truck, Escalade EXT (which I fully polished the housings and had brand new bulbs in it).

No reason to swap out factory LED bulbs on a 2016+ truck for anything aftermarket. 

All the OP needs to do is adjust the beam height and lift them up some.

I’ve adjusted them up as far as possible that’s why I’m wondering if a light bar could extend the distance without blinding others.

Just out of curiosity. Is it a normal led bulb inside the sealed housing? Down the road when one of the led lights burns out is it going to be really expensive to replace?
