Love these guys. Good win for GMC. This shows all 3 trucks are all very close. So go with looks and price. And where are all the gm homers that claimed TFL is biased against GM? Lol.

watched that this am. I wished they talked more about how each truck felt while towing. Not just touching on it at the end. Either way, good review.

Still curious if the new 6.2/10 speed and less weight actually helped acceleration

Something they didn’t realize....based on the discussion and concerns in the other thread about only a 24 gal tank being available in the Max tow pkg, the Sierra would have an effective range of only 168 miles if you were to use a realistic avg of about 7 mpg of towing that load in that general area. However, towing at the indicated 3.7mpg yields a dry tank at 88 miles. For the Ram, 155 miles at 4.7 mpg or 264 miles at about 8mpg. Ford, 118 miles at 3.3mpg or about 234 miles at 6.5 mpg.

The sad thing is, is that TFL always seems to use a 6.2 in the GM trucks. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the 6.2 is too rare of an option to be a legitimate comparison.  Unfortunately if TFL were to use the 5.3 that GM shoves down everybody’s throats, the GM truck would fair even worse.

They use what GM marketing team gives them. Just like every other truck. They can ask for specific ones but not always their choice. I agree we need to see more 5.3 numbers. And as lethargic as the 5.3 is , the 8 speed seems to really help it.

Yea, it’s a real pia to get a 355 hp truck moving.

I’m not blaming TFL, I’m blaming GM for making the 6.2 so scarce. For that matter GM would be kinda misrepresenting by giving them a 6.2 to test and then making them next to impossible to find at the dealership.
