Hello, of course questions

Hello everyone!  I am obviously new to the forum.  So, a friend of mine gave me a 1996 Silverado Pickup.  Yes, Gave it to me, lucky me right?  Anyway here is the bad....  It was a farm truck and sat in a field for about 5 years.  The frame is solid, no cracks or weak points, and the body is in good shape.  Typical cab corner rust and the bed supports on the sides are shot.  Otherwise, it looks nice and everything works.  Sort of.  The steering is loose as all get out, the stabilizer links are all broke, the bushings shot, the shocks are good, but the brake lines are toast, the gas tank is toast as well as the straps.  So anyhow...  I'm looking for an exploded view of the front end so I can order new parts, or a kit if anyone knows where to find one.  The brakes are the easy part, its this HD suspension I'm having trouble finding.   This is a 2500HD, 8 lug, 8.4K GVW with a 6.5 Diesel.  I just had a rebuilt 4L80E put in it and its only got 183K on it.  Figure its worth the time and $$$ since it was free.  It drives fine, starts up, no smoke, no knocks.  Any advice, links or tips are appreciated.  This is my first Diesel anything and I really really like it!  Would anyone have any links to a factory service manual or anything of the sort that would help?  Thank you kindly in advance.

You need all the front end parts on them trucks, they just ware out. Common issue, ball joints, pitman arm, tie rods and anything else. No kits that I know if, rock auto has all to parts in moog problem solver or your local auto parts store. Often times the steering box has Plat as well and would benifit from and overhaul.

Post some pictures of that bad boy as well.

Thanks, guys.  I will post some pics when I have some.  Right now it's not photo-worthy.  It will be after tax time though.

I have been adding parts to my Rock Auto cart, but I'm not sure what all I should get honestly.  That's why I was looking for an exploded view or something.  Checking out the alldatadiy site now.

If you walked into a Napa, they would show you the parts in a book or online, plus it's good parts, and 10%off if order online, advance sometimes goes as high as 30% off online
