Fuel consumption at idle

Does anyone calculate such?  With an average speed of 15 mph, mine burns 1.67 GPH over an eleven hour period or so.

My motor typically burns 2.0 GPH on gasoline and 2.5 on E85 with an average speed of 26.5 mph.

Yours is much more efficient than mine with direct injection.

I’ve always been curious of this too because my mpg sure does drop fast when I remote start

I'm not sure mine calculates MPG with remote start.  I have about 100 gallons missing over the last 14 months of recording the numbers.  The GPH between fuel used and fuel pumped is 2.40 versus 2.11 for both fuel types.

Cold start uses a ton of fuel, they run super rich at cold idle.  Using remote start on cold days will kill mpg.

After further review, and spending untold millions of $ on research, NASA and the EPA have finally both come to the same conclusion; that my 5.3 gets 0.00 mpg at idle in park.  Which coincidentally is the same fuel mileage that my T/A 6.6 gets in neutral with the parking brake set.  Go figure. . .
