GM differential part numbers needed

I have a 2014 DC 5.3 that I would like to change the gears in. I would like to swap the 3.08 gears to 4.10 and keep the G80 I have. Presently, I have a set of 295/65/20 with a small lift kit but would like to install a CST 4.5 lift to get the angles better. Now that I am out of warranty it is a good time to get back some power. I have tried asking at two dealerships but they can’t help and I looked on gmpartsdirect.com  but wasn’t 100% sure which one it is. I know someone will tell me that the G80 is junk but I want to just swap in factory parts. I need both front and back part numbers please.

Thanks

Not sure what part numbers you are looking for?  Ring and pinion # or Differential Case #?

Differential case numbers. Going to get ring and pinion gears from AAM.

Not sure this helps or confuses the issue!  Below is the Rear differential numbers for a 2017 Silverado.  I do not have info on 4WD or info specific to a 2014.

Ok, so the G80 a is a limited slip carriers, right? I need the 3.42 carrier to put the 4.10 gears in, correct? So, that would be

# 23126912 on your list. On gmpartsdirect, that number is replaced by #23404628. But that says both 3.08 and 3.42.

I do not have specific knowledge on the Differential designations.  This information is from AllData and I was hoping it would help you in your search and maybe get some more knowledgeable members to provide assistance.

Why not just call AAM, tell them what you want want you have and see what they say you need?

I think that you have to get G80 carriers through GM. The ones on AAM website are open carriers. The other differential websites only have trutrac or Yukon. I may have missed something, that’s why I am asking.

Looked at them, they don’t have the factory  differentials. Those are what I am looking for.

3:23 and below gears you can get the ring adapter for the rear of the truck and use any gear above that for upgrade.  However, you’ll need a whole new carrier for the front as there isn’t an adapter plate for the 8.25 front diff.  So you could buy a new g80 for the front with new ring and pinion and be cool.

i literally just dealt with this a year ago.  I decided to upgrade both front and rear to after market diffs.  And went with 4.10s from 3.08s.  Either way you do it you’ll love the new added power you get from it.

https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-23887027-gm-9-5b-oe-gear-ring-pinion-4-10-ratio.html I called them and talked to the sales rep. For my 2018 6.2 with 3:23 gears all the parts are just over $1000. I need the new carrier for the front and the adapter plate for the rear ring gear just like you will need.

Here is my parts list
