Accessing your Toolbox

Hey fellas,

 

For those of you who have a toolbox with a hard tonneau, whether the toolbox is a low-profile or standard lid, how are you accessing the middle of your toolbox from the bedside?

Have you thought of these? The one right under the gas door.

I've thought about those, but has anyone actually used this accessory before? If someone has, please share your thoughts.

I just installed a Bedstep 2 on my truck this last week and I've used it a time or two since, I'm a big guy 280 lbs and it holds me with out any problem.  My only issue is that I have a long wheel base truck and I needed it to be about a foot futher back towards the rear wheel, it is great for things at the front of the bed, but the middle is a little out of reach.

Sounds nice! Thanks for your input. Did you install yourself or did you have a dealer / retailer do it for you? Sorry for all the questions. I'm thinking about adding this to my Silverado, so when I have my tool chest full of ice this summer, I can reach effortlessly into the middle sections.

I had the step installed by the aftermarket company that I bought it from.  It took them about 30 minutes to install and part of that was because I was talking to them about something else I wanted to do.
