Towing with the AT4

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about getting out of my 2016 AT 6.2 and buying a AT4 6.2. I tow a 6500 lb. travel trailer loaded with my current truck and it has no problems.  I would like to hear everyone’s thought on how the new AT4 pulls a trailer in comparison to the K2.

I've had zero issues.  Hauled a large enclosed trailer with 3 sleds and gear through the mountains, and barely noticed it was back there.

Madcaddie,

How much would you say your trailer weighs when loaded? You also have the 6.2L?

I'm also looking at the AT4 from a 2010 All Terrain.

For crew cab standard box, (TK10743)

2019 (L84), 5.3L AT4 is rated to tow 100 lb LESS than other 2019 with 5.3L (non NHT)

2019 (L87) 6.2L AT4 is rated to tow 100 lb MORE than other 2019  with 6.2 (non NHT)

NHT 6.2 is rated to tow about 2800 more than AT4

NHT 5.3 is rated to tow about 1800 more than AT4

Quite well.  It was windy so I kept my speeds between 65 and 70 and like I said, I didn't know it was back there.  It was perfectly level.

Yes 6.2

Probably only in the 5-6000lb range.  Ill report back again after hauling the tractor around.
