My 2015 Silverado shut off while driving

Just purchased a 2015 Silverado a little over a month ago with 49,000 miles on it.  A few days ago the truck shut off on me while pulling into a parking spot, 2 times. The dash was telling me to roll my windows up and a theft detection alert popped up. Wtf, did I buy a messed up truck. I had gm run a scan and it read that all of my computer voltages were low.  I got a new battery but the theft crap showed back up today though it didn't shut off this time.  Have read some other common threads with 0 solutions.  Any help would be appreciated!

I had a similar issue on my 2007 Silverado many years ago.  It would many times not start, sometimes die while driving, sometimes the dash would light up like a Christmas tree (stabilitrack, traction control, ABS, etc.)  I found that if I would wiggle the battery cables it would usually start, at least.

Under warranty, I had the GM dealer look at this 3 or 4 times, one time dying on the service bay floor, could not duplicate.  After that last time, it magically healed.  I'm convinced it was a bad connection at the battery, or a bad connection down deeper.

I don't know exactly what fixed it, but I would start by making damn sure you've got solid connections everywhere.

I attached a copy of the Tech Bulletin for this.  It's an old copy and there may be a newer version so have your dealer look that one up and use it to troubleshoot the problem.  It's a known electrical issue on these trucks.

2014 - did the same thing. Put a new negative cable on, no issues for 9 months now. Bad crimps in some harnesses, some battery posts are smaller in diameter, so clamp wont tighten down......give that a try next
