Benji88 Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Hey guys I need help I want to a install a line output converter to a 2017 chevy silverado 1500 lt and I wanna tap into the wires that are in the left pillar does anyone know what wire color is for both rear speakers positive and negative.
14 gmcl83 Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Your best bet is to tap in to the factory amp in the back that’s what I did it was very easy look on YouTube.
Ozer Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Do you have a factory amp? for 2014 sierra i know its Right Rear + white / - blue/black Left Rear + green / - green/black
Benji88 Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 Idk if it does have one but I want to tap in the wires on the left pillar and the color of speaker wires from gmc & chevy the same
Ak_grown Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 the tweeter speaker wires in the pillar are probably not the best sound you want, because they probably filtered out the low end frequency from the factory amp. but if thats what you want normally the lighter color wire is the positive wire. ex. yellow/ brown, yellow would be positive. its kinda been that way with GMs not so much with other manufacturers.
Benji88 Posted April 23, 2019 Author Posted April 23, 2019 I want to tap in into the rear left pillar not the very front ones
jpinoy Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 I want to tap in into the rear left pillar not the very front ones Why not just get one of these IF you have an amp so no need for tapping the pillarhttps://www.crutchfield.com/S-qyNDZiN8Cfp/p_541APHGM02/PAC-APH-GM02-AmpPro-Speaker-Connection-Harness.html?source=pjn&subid=43737Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
