CK1000 Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Got a new windshield under warranty and now my lane keep assist and low speed braking do not work. Dealership replaced the camera and said it should reactivate once I drive it enough. I told them I will give it a week. Anyone know anything about calibrating the lane keep assist and/or low speed emergency braking?
GrumpyAeroGuy Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Sounds suspect to me. My camera failed under warranty. They replaced it, and all worked well afterwards, immediately.... ???Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
damnthetorpedoes Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Something doesn’t sound right there. I had my windshield replaced (not under warranty) and was told that the system may need to be calibrated. Turned out that it didn’t need to be, but they said they system does not self calibrate. Not sure how true that is, but I would expect a dealer to give it back working, not “give it time.”
GN2018 Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 Given that it works right off the showroom floor, I can’t see how “drive it a little” makes any sense at all. I’d give it a day but since they’re not open until Monday, I’d give it the weekend. I had all that on my Impala and had to get a new windshield and everything worked as I drove it out of the dealer. Frankly, I think what they did to you is BS and you should call them out on it when you take it back on Monday.
