Back up camera fuzzy/lines

Hey,

 

I have 2 issues with my trucks backup camera;

 

1 - it’s very blurry and there are lines through it. It also has the common problem of skipping or resetting like other owners have mentioned. See pics 

 

2 - it’s bright AF. There was a “bright at night” TSB issued for the K2 trucks,

does anyone have info on a similar fix for the T1s? See pic. It’s almost blinding at night. 

 

My truck is a 19 custom trail boss.

Wish GM would fix the bright-at-night issue  but they have not yet.

yeah it's a little ridiculous to have the same issues with the T1, with no fix.

Another addition to this;

 

i believe the blurry lines only happen at night but I’ve also noticed when you reverse and the camera is on, and the brake is applied, it throws a line through the screen and disappears.

 

its like the brake is drawing power from the camera or head unit and there isn’t a “clean” voltage supply to the camera system when the brakes are initiated. 

 

Very annoying that I noticed this.

See my post and please file a complaint with GM and the NHTSA...it is a safety issue for sure, wait til it glitches out when backing up and you can't see anything at all. This is going to cause an injury or death if GM doesn't fix it. See if it is when you step on the brakes, that's what mine does. It went blank twice this evening while backing up! So frustrating.

Back UP Camera at night STINKS EXACT same issue as Tanner709.  Problems only at night. SAME photo with the fuzzy lines.  JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH GM.  "Uh...we don't have a cause or issue for this.  No recall for this.  Want a Dealer number to diagnose?"  USELESS.  I have a 2020 Silverado LT Low Rider. First issue. BUMMER.
