I was talking to one of my friends that works at Eaton supercharger as a product engineer yesterday, and he mentioned that they are starting on a new factory corvette development project! All of Eaton's blowers for the US are made right here in Athens GA (I know its weird) and I got to tour the plant yesterday as part of their open house. It was great. They also had some of the cars that they make blowers for on display (03 Cobra, MB SLK 320, Mini Cooper S) It was a great event. Too bad they didnt have a Lightning! Factory roots-blown LS6 =

Its not true. It might be an outside product, but not a factory option.

I doubt this is true also. The Corvette will be on it's last year for the GenIII motor in '04. And I doubt the C6's GenIV needs a supercharger to make 500hp, especially if the 6.3L version is made.

the guy that I talked to said that it was factory. Eaton makes blowers for Magnusson kits (think lingenfelter) but Magnusson only uses the rotating assembly and makes their own housing (thats why the kits are outrageously $$). He said that this was an entire blower. I figured that the new Z06 would use a standard LS1 (lower compression for boost tolerance) and pump in about 7psi of boost. Thats 500 horsies right there.

The new Z06 or whatever the hot rod version will be called will not use the GenIII based motor. Be it LS6 or LS1 supercharged. The Gen IV will be under the hood. Believe that.

The new vettes will not have a blower.I'm all over the vette boards and this is the first mention of a blower,on a truck site no less  The new vette will have a 6.3 all alum gen 4 engine.500 flywheel hp will be easily attainable from the factory.
