Light but VERY annoying rattle in left front corner of dash

Ok so I have 3k miles on my new lt trailboss. Leather interior and center console dash.

Recently I have been hearing a very light but constant plastic type rattle noise. It comes from the driver door card or steering column area. I cannot pin point exact location. It’s driving me insane because I concentrate on that noise while I’m driving now.

I thought it may be a loose plastic trim insert or something.

 

Anyone else have this???

Check the hood release cable, mine was making a little noise.  Just reach under the release and grab the cable when you are driving.  If it stops, then you will know if that is it.  Hope this helps!

Yes! The guy that responded above- regarding the cable for the hood release - that was it!!!

I just reached down under, felt the cable near the latch and “moved it over” a little I guess lol. That was for sure the issue for me.

You're welcome, I brought mine to the dealer and they replaced the cable under warranty.  I've been rattle free ever since.  Only took me 5k miles to figure out where it came from though....

I have a rattle on the opposite side, sounds like coming from somewhere near passenger air bag.  When you get up to highway speeds you can hear the rattle, has to be something with air passing and causing something to make the noise.  My trucks been in the shop  three times and over 80 days, they always say its fixed.
