Hey folks,

Just wondering what the biggest tire is I can fit on the factory 20s without rubbing or any issues.

I plan on changing the shocks to 5100s when they become available and will raise the front a little also. Will that help with clearance much? I just want more sidewall for a better ride and a tougher tire.

Currently have the 275/60R20 tire size. Thanks.

285/65/20 with only 2 inch level from ready lift

About a 34.5 inch tall tire and 11.5 inches wide
Very light rub on plastic mud flap when reverse at full lock, not enough for me to trim.

I put KO2’s 275r60 20’s on mine the first day. I know that is the stock size but look more aggressive and in my opinion the 33” tire looks good.

I looked at the 275r65 which is 1” taller and .54 more sidewall but Discount Tire steered me away from them.

Mine have a D rating which is plenty for a 1/2 ton truck.

Mind if I ask why they steered you away from them?

Good looking truck...are those KO2s? 285/65 is what I was after so that’s good news. Torn between the KO2 and Nitto Terra grapplers G2.

They were afraid they would rub and would not offer their 30 return policy. I like the bigger tire but at 67 years old every 1” gets tougher!

its changed from then now lol

Yes KO2, I would do KO2
That particular nitro isn’t the best in wet conditions. I’ve had them all
My go to tires are KO2 or Toyo RT

So do your 275/60r20s rub currently without any modifications?  That is the size I am trying to put on mine.  I do not want to lift or level currently.  I am under the impression that is the biggest size I could go without rub.

These come stock with 275/60/20 ....
So there is no rubbing with the tires that these trucks come with from the factory

Gotcha.  Wasn't sure if that would be the same for a 2014 Sierra 1500 4x2.  Had 275/55r20 when I bought it.

Enthusiast,

Truck looks nice with the KO2's.  I just bought a RST and will be installing the 2 inch level kit from ReadyLift this weekend.  Tires are next but like many others was not sure exactly which ones I want to purchase.  Is there any way you can post a few more photos of your truck that has the 285/65r20 KO2's, including a side view?  I was thinking about purchasing the 285/60r20 tires but from the one photo you posted I might go with the 285/65r20's.

Thanks in advance?

Don

That truck looks good with that tire set up ??. 285 65 20. I got a 19RST with a 2 inch southern truck level kit and went to discount today. They are getting some 285 60 20(33.46 inch tires) Nitto Ridge Grapplers in on Monday which I am going to test fit to see if I like it. I’m not wanting any rubbing. I’ll post pics if I end up getting them.
