I have 2014 Chevy Silverado Rally 2 package only owner, with about 48K miles,  that has this annoying clicking and popping noise that I get when turning left or right. I’ve taken the care to Chevy and Firestone and neither can diagnose the popping. The ball joints give no play on either side, I’ve had multiple alignments and even changed the sway bar links just because they were worn. Still have the same problem. I only have this issue when I’m either pulling out of driveway, tight parking spot or sharp turns where I have the wheel turned completely. Will attempt to load video

Steering rack and loose or shot tie rod ends. I bought a 2015 about 2-3 months ago with the same popping it would happen when I was turning sharp in a drive thru, etc. My truck was lifted when I bought it already but it had CPO warranty. I’d get them to check the steering rack for play in it and outer tie rod ends.

Happen on bumps or just turning? Did they check the strut rod Nuts?

I had had some light knocking and it was from strut rod nuts needing tightened

also check the plastic sway bar ends and make sure they are tight and not worn out where they connect to a-arm

There is a TSB for this.  You have to tighten all front end undercarriage bolts. You can tighten up coilovers too and try that?  Depends where sound is coming from up high or down low.....

I had the same problem and it was fixed by re-torquing the bolts to factory specs. Dealership did it for me.

gm tech here. there is a bulletin to re torque the lower control arm bolts and cross member bolts. lower control arm bolts are 129 ftlbs and the crossmember bolts are 59ft lbs + 110 degrees.

I have retorqued my crossmember bolts 5 times now. It rides smooth and quiet for about 50 miles then back to creaking and popping. 2015 GMC Sierra.  Going to weld it in place, I guess.
