Brake Lights Covers in Smoke

Hi,

  I have a 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ and I'm looking to replace my tail lights cover to smoke.  I want to make sure whatever I go with is CA legal?  Any suggestions, been looking and can't seem to find anything?

Wrap them or have the cleared with some black mixed into it.

Similar to tinted windows, I think a lot of people go beyond what is written in the state codes. But they generally aren't caught.

 

Still, why would I give LEO's any reason to pay extra attention to my vehicle?
