Multifunction tailgate

Can I install the multifunction tailgate on my 2019 GMC Sierra SLT?

Uh, the Multi-Pro tailgate is standard on the SLT. I mean, I know you can still order the truck with the normal tailgate, but I didn’t think anyone ever did. Is that the situation?

I purchased the truck and it had the standard tailgate. It's a 2500 HD Diesel. Does that make a difference? Does the dealership owe me this?

Prob not as the 2020 2500 starts with the multi gate, 19 didnt have them....

Ah, yeah, your 2019 HD is still the old (K2XX) platform. No way the multipro tailgate is going to fit or function on that body style unfortunately.

I wouldn't do it even if u could.  That tailgate was one of the reasons I chose Chevy over GMC for my 2019.  If you never tow it might be okay but it hits your trailer ball if installed.
