Replace Silverado Tailgate with MultiPro tailgate

What GM won't do for us?  Well, according to several outlets, including the GM Authority website, Chevrolet will offer the multipro tailgate on the Silverado sometime in the 2020 model year.  So, it is coming.  Just need to be a bit more patient...

i thought the tailgate was a magnificent piece of automotive engineering....then i saw that id have to pull my hitch on and off every time i was done or needed it. my tow hitch i need and use...a fancy tailgate is cool but not necessary to how i use my truck...IMO

That is really cheap with all the wiring and hardware. My local dealer was going to put a multi-function tailgate on one of his new Silverados until he figured it would cost $3000 for the new tailgate!

I just got the 2020 GMC and the multipro is all but useless for me.

 

My 19 Silverado, power up/down tailgate.  Now that was useful.

I like the multi pro gate....for what I do it would really be convenient, I would get one in heartbeat

 

but I can see how guys that tow a lot it would be a real PITA
