4wd stuck

I have a 2000 serria z71 and the transmission has been rebuilt when I put it back together my electric shift for 4wd was lit and I tried putting it into 2wd and you can hear the transfer case motor making a noise but it stays in 4wd hi and while in 4wd hi it won’t move I put it into gear and the truck sits you can rev it up and it’ll go no where and I’m lost and need help as this is one of my two vehicles

Go to 4lo,get movement?figures, right?do the proper job,and whammo, another issue

Double check the plugs and maybe reseat them. Possibly a loose connection?
