nah, was easy. Used plastic tools, just have to be easy with the clips.  Taking your time is the key..!  The mirrors are 4x 13mm bolts and one plug.  The handles are stick on covers my brothers body shop painted.

They are both just covers. I ended up not liking the bulk of the mirror covers so I removed them. The handle covers snap on and adhere with double-sided tape. They are available on eBay from seller "beyondbasik" for about $10. I was weary because of cheap they were but they are actually great quality. They cover the handle well and appear as close to factory as you will get without replacing the whole handle.

Bulk of the mirror cover..?  The painted part on the mirror is the mirror. I did buy the handles fairly cheap but they werent 10.00 or that brand, came with the tailgate handle. Plus They were chrome. They were sanded, primed. painted and cleared. Left over paint from another job.   No they don't fit perfect but they will do the job for now.

To put led bulbs in the stock housings..?  It's easy, probably 5 minutes a side. I have em for sale tho if you would like em.  I went a different route..

Wow, that looks great!   That front end combines good elements from different sources: The neat LED headlights from an LT+ truck, the cool blackout style CHEVROLET grill from a Custom, and the three Raptor style LEDs up top.  Really nice! The chrome bumper and front bar are cool too.

Can you share some information about how you put this together?

Its my first truck a 19 LT.   I've always been a muscle car dude. (18 1LE Camaro,  16 Chevy SS)    But The truck was a great pick for Home Depot trips and what not.

 

I started with the TAC "bull bar" in a matte black.  Seeing how well it did with the NS blue helped me decide what to do. Every truck needs a light bar obviously so that was quickly added.   I always loved the Custom style grill, and love the aggressive look of the Raptor, so when I found a grill that incorporated both I had to have it.  Had the dealership paint it Gloss black, and installed it.  

Also have Motofab 3" lift front and rear, Now just need some new shoes in a deep dark bronze and ill be set.

35 12.50 20 km3s load range e, pressures set at 35 psi. These ride nice and smooth and for now are quiet. They do rub on the mud flap at about 3/4 turn to full lock.   

 

Also tinted the mirror lights and the amber headlight corner lights.

The readylift just didnt see like it was enough after seeing the 3-3.5 lifts. I purchased a stage 1 icon lift with the coilovers set at 3 inch and a rear 1.5 block with shocks. How does it ride?  I’ve been considering the same setup.

In the pic it was really nice,, Its more firm than stock, but not harsh and handles real well too.  I will say tho with these set at any more than 2.5 they are real firm. The stage 1 are also not long travel. When I called Icon about what to do with it turned to 3.5 they told me to send em in and they will take a stop out of the inside.   So what I did was turn them to the top meaning at 1.5 and added a 1.5 level to the top of the coilover. Then with that to get to my 3.5 I just adjusted em a small amount. That way the preload is at a minimum.

Wondering how many miles you have on your stage 1 ICON coilovers thus far? After about 14,000 miles my passenger side coilover has started to leak fluid. I've started the warranty process with ICON...

Actually sent mine back last week, only 5k on them.  They ride too firm cranked up. So along with revalving them I had them redone to stage 3/4 with the reservoir and cdcv. They have real good customer service and will take care of you.

5k miles! Sounds like I'm lucky mine lasted this long (6 months, 14k miles). My issue is that it's my daily driver & I can't just leave it sitting on stands. So I'm thinking of having it rebuilt locally. Planning to have that conversation with ICON today to see if they'll honor it. I'm between NYC and Philly, so I figured there's got to be somebody who'd be willing to do the rebuild. Do you know anybody?

    • No such thing as regenerative braking on a pure ICE vehicle.     Regenerative braking is the re-capture of energy from electric motors and stores it in the battery pack.  So hybrids, PHEV and EVs have regenerative braking.     What you are seeing is the charging system changing modes is all.  Its likely entering charge mode for some sort of reason is all.  All of the charging modes will be listed below.   As for L10 vs D.  L10 turns off automatic grade braking.  L10 puts you in control of grade downshifts where in D it will automatically do it based on brake pedal position and other factors.  Otherwise L10 and D drive exactly the same aside from that one aspect.    Battery Sulfation Mode The BCM will enter this mode when the interpreted Generator output voltage is less than 13.2 V for 45 minutes. When this condition exists the BCM will enter Charge Mode for 2–3 minutes. The BCM will then determine which mode to enter depending on voltage requirements.   Charge Mode The BCM will enter Charge Mode when ever one of the following conditions are met:   Windshield wipers are ON for more than 3 s. Climate Control Voltage Boost Mode Request is true, as sensed by the HVAC control module via serial data. High speed cooling fan, rear defogger, and HVAC high speed blower operation can cause the BCM to enter the Charge Mode. The estimated battery temperature is less than 0°C (32°F). Battery State of Charge is less than 80%. Vehicle speed is greater than 145 km/h (90 mph) A current sensor malfunction exists. System voltage is determined to be below 12.56 V When any one of these conditions is met, the system will set targeted generator output voltage to a charging voltage between 13.9–15.5 V, depending on the battery state of charge and estimated battery temperature.   Fuel Economy Mode The BCM will enter Fuel Economy Mode when the estimated battery temperature is at least 0°C (32°F) but less than or equal to 80°C (176°F), the calculated battery current is less than 15 A and greater than −8 A, and the battery state-of-charge is greater than or equal to 80%. Its targeted generator output voltage is the open circuit voltage of the battery and can be between 12.5–13.1 V. When fuel economy mode is active, the generator is not charging, only maintaining open circuit battery voltage. The BCM will exit this mode and enter Charge Mode when any of the conditions described above are present.   Headlamp Mode The BCM will enter Headlamp Mode when ever the head lamps are ON (high or low beams). Voltage will be regulated between 13.9–14.5 V.   Start Up Mode When the engine is started the BCM sets a targeted generator output voltage of 14.5 V for 30 s.   Tow/Haul Mode (if applicable) Pressing the Tow/Haul Mode button located on the center stack, the vehicle system voltage is raised and the remote (non-vehicle) battery will be charged. Having the headlamps on will raise the system voltage and if the Tow/Haul button is applied it will not serve any purpose. The voltage is regulated between 13.9-14.5 V.      
    • Hello from Australia Just sharing that there is now a way to delete the active shutters entirely with just a plug in module. Opens up tons of room to light bars etc.
    • I have an observation and a question... 1) I watch the voltage closely because I have had to dial in the cut-in/cut-out voltages of the battery separator to my camper.  The "smart" charging drives me nuts.  Anyway, I noticed that when coasting for a while, and especially if lightly using the brakes (though not necessary), the voltage goes up from mid/high-13 volts to mid/high-14 volts.  Then it drops back down after stopping or going again.  Consistently!   The only explanation I can come up with is REGENERATIVE BRAKING!  Well, maybe that's a little bit of an exaggeration, but it's certainly free extra battery charging.   2) Driving on mountain roads I will use L and vary the max gear.  Things straighten out and I end up in L10.  Sometimes I leave it there for a while.  Is there any difference between L10 and D?   
    • Do you think this width might affect the chalk test with a higher pressure closer to 65psi? I think lowering the pressure makes sense to get the tread to lay flatter
