Attempting to put on 2006 Yukon Denali 6 spoke 17" rims for winter rubber. Calipers just touch and need a spacer, going to try 1/4". As I feel its the largest one should go to have enough lug nut to stud contact.

Thanks man. Do you have the factory 32-inch Goodyear’s on there or did you go with a bigger size?

Factory tires and they do rub on full lock going reverse wanted bigger size tires but with it rubbing I don’t think I’ll be able to

I decided to put my 1.25” spacers back on now that that I added the pocket flares to the fenders.  I’ll post some pics tomorrow.

Yeah, I went down to local mechanic shop near my house, took 20 minutes, charged me $20.  Could have done it myself, but wasn't worth the time and effort for $20.

I'd also suggest putting some loctite on the stock lug bolts and will now hold the spacers, so they won't get loose.  Supposed to take the wheels off after a couple hundred miles and check that they're still torqued to spec too.  Torque both spacer lugs and wheel lugs to factory 140 ft. lbs.

My understanding is that if you use any type of thread locker like Loctite, you should torque to spec before it dries. Once it’s dried, if you re-torque you are literally breaking the thread locker and it’s pointless.

That looks great. That’s the stance I’m interested in for my Trail Boss, but I’m stock height with 295/70r18 on factory TB 18s. I’m not sure if I can trim enough to get that stance without a lift. I’m tempted to try some BORA adapters.

Thanks. Anything is possible! You just have to be willing to try. I had to trim lots off the mud flaps and the inner fenders and it rubs minimally on full lock sometimes. I’m about 3/4 higher in the front compared to the stock TB so not too much lift but I’m running a much stiffer spring so that helps reduce the wheel flex a bit.

What I did was run the biggest tire possible with the minimum lift then drove the ****** out of it and trimmed everywhere I was rubbing.

What size tires are you running?
