Engine power reduced

i just stepped on the gas and all of a sudden engine power reduced popped up with a check engine light what would be the problem ? 2019 2.7 silverado

If you have a code reader, you might get some kind of hint.  But sounds like it's time for a trip to the dealer...

Or by the time you get there it goes off and clears the codes.

Could be many things.

 

Codes are not solutions, but they can shorten the diagnostic time. 

 

Lots of reasons why it might think it needs to self-protect -- including 'false' readings from harness or sensor problems.

Have you gotten the harness protection recall done?   Kinda sounds like the start of that rub through issue.
