The 2019 Sierra HD had a manual tilt lever and telescoping lever on the left side of the steering column.  The 2020 Sierra HD has one (1) manual lever, for both functions, on the underneath side of the steering column.  The one lever, with dual functions,  is hard to locate and not user friendly?

I made a mistake and message wasn't clear. Wrong vehicle.

I've had both on GM and Ford trucks/suvs. Honestly, the manual tilt and telescopic steering wheels have more range than the electronic ones.

The 2019 Sierra HD Denali had electronic tilt and telescoping steering column but the 2020 has is manual.  GMC doesn't offer the electronic, why the change?  The manual version is hard to locate and not user friendly?

Not trying to be argumentative, but are you sure you 2019HD Denali was electric tilt/telescope?

I'm only curious because my 18 HD Denali doesn't have it, so I got  curious and looked in the 18/19 order guides and can't find it there.

Senior Enthusiast,

Thank you for pointing out my mistake.  To my knowledge the Sierra has never had a electronic tilt/telescoping steering wheel.  I should have made my statement clearer.  I was thinking about my other vehicle that does have the electronics.  It might be nice if GM would offer electronic tilt and telescoping in the Sierra.

Thanks again.

No problem, I thought maybe I was missing something.

Wife has GM vehicle with the electric tilt/telescope.

I prefer the tilt as it is in the truck -- but I do find the trucks telescope annoying.  Fortunately I rarely use the telescope.

Tilt gets used almost every trip.

My 2020hd is supposed to have manual tilt and telescoping wheel, however to this point with the lever under the wheel I have not been able to get it to telescope in or out at all.

How much does it telescope?

There is no movement in or out on my wheel with the lever down.

Yes, an lt.  Have the allstar edition and convenience package 2 as well.  It listed on the packages that the truck is supposed to have tilt and telescoping wheel.  I am 6'2", would be nice if it worked, but I am getting maybe a 1/4 inch at most, I don't want to put more force on the wheel than I have tried already.

My LT has the manual tilt telescope with the lever under the steering wheel. I also have like 2-3 inches of telescope movement, sounds like something might be binding up on you?

Whoops, wrong forum, I’ve got a’17.

Looked underneath it and see no reason why it should not be working.  The tilt function works fine.  Will definitely be taking it in to a dealership as soon as I get a chance to.
