I’m having the same issue on a 2021 Silverado LTZ.  My boat trailer worked a while ago, as did a utility trailer. But both now show “no trailer connection “ on DIC. I’ve cleaned contacts on truck and connector and tried two different connectors.  Has GM or any body found a resolution to this issue, it apppears to be a reoccurring problem.

The issue is due to the trailer information module (TIM) not sensing enough resistance to supply power to the lighting circuits.  The most likely issue is a poor ground on the trailer.  If the trailer wiring is a flat four way, it uses the trailer ball as the ground.  You should have a white wire going to trailer frame.  I would clean that mounting surface and add star washer.  You need a good consistent ground from trailer frame to the truck frame.  I would look to see how rusty your trailer ball or trailer coupler are.   You could put steel wool on top of your ball and clamp your trailer over top.  Driving with steel wool will help cleanup the surfaces and get a better ground.  I don't love how the system works, but ultimately it's a ground issue causing your issue.

2022 2500HD: Beyond frustrated with this over engineered mess. Rewired my utility trailer this winter, with new LED's and wire. Couldn't get it to work. Took several hours before i made a profile for it and told the truck what exactly it had. Worked fine. Fast forward 3 mo. I hook to it today and got nothing. No trailer. I like my stuff to work when I need it to, and I really don't have the time for this crap every time I hook up. Anyone come up with a fix?

I have had 2020 since  the first ones came out and I just had the trailer loose it’s profile while driving after 3 yrs . Rear camera kept working though. I was  6 hrs from home and did it like not having trailer temps and psi . Got home and added it again .

Why do you only reply to or pick certain members?  Some of us on this board have had multiple problems and you seem to ignore them within the same threads.

Currently I have brakes that are noisy AGAIN, dealer has tried twice to fix, and they are actually worse now than ever.  Truck is a 2020, that I bought new in August of 2020 before it was even delivered to the dealer, only has 20,000 miles on it.  Last time the dealer had it for the brakes, they told me they cannot do anything more, they said that it is normalI have on and off issues with my trailer module.  Most the time it won't pick up my trailer tpms sensors and I have to manually check each tire.  Sometimes it won't even detect my trailer is connected.  I have discovered there is a leak above my rear window now, dealer can't even look at it until next Friday.

Here's the scoop about that GM customer service message.  I actually emailed them with a problem I was having.  All they will do is set you up for an appt with a local dealer.  That's all.  When I found that out I was like, hell I can make my own appt.  So basically all they do is give you a name of a local dealer to you and help you set up an appt.  That's it...nothing more.  I declined and did it myself.  So there you have it!

I have a 2024 2500 HD and a single axle box trailer.  I've been using a Reese hitch with sleeve and 2" ball.  It has about a 2" drop.  Trailer has LED but I never had problems with no connection until.... I upgraded to a B&W stow and go with no sleeve and 7" drop.  Now it does not see the exact same trailer.  I switch back to the Reese and it works fine.  I've done this a few times to verify I was sane.  Still cannot figure out what's happening.  It's not the connector load unless I lost some grounding.  Does the truck have a weight sensor or something?
