Wheel spacers. Opinions?

I just measured my track width.

Inside of rim to inside of rim.

Front 63"

Rear 60 1/2"

2 1/2" difference

After I got the lift done I looked at it and decided it wasn't too bad.

The more and more I look at it, its starting to bug me.

Now that I measured it , it really bugs me.

I'm thinking at least a 1" spacer in the rear. 1.25" would make it  the same as the front.

I'm probably going to do it soon,  just looking for other guys experiences or opinions.

I bought bora spacers, but ended up selling them as I couldn't be bothered lol but from my research you can't get much better than bora, they are hub and lug centric

I have a 4 inch bds lift. I called bds to find out how far the lift would expand the track and added that to the factory track difference between front and rear. It was going to take 2.25 spacers to make them dead even so I went with 2 inch Bora spacers. Based on your measurements it doesn't appear your life pushed your track out as far as mine. If you get them within a quarter inch per side (half inch total) I don't think you will notice but more than that will probably bug you if you are anything like me.

It's 9" McGaughys lift.
It only adds 7/8". Most lifts add 1 1/2"
In stock form the front is already 1" wider than the rear.

Does your truck have any shake? I had the 1.5" Bora spacers but I think my shake/ vibration may be from a rear axle issue like many others. The spacers made it worse.

I really liked the look the Bora spacers gave me though.

Do the Bora's, best you can buy. I have a set of 2" I was going to run with my stock wheels, but never used them. Super nice quality!

I don't have any shake. The shop I used said they could have spacers machined but insisted on Bora. I have the tires rotated and the spacers torqued/checked every 7500.

Looks like it takes Custom Offsets 3-4 weeks to get these.

I had the same problem and seems anything LESS than 1.75 you have to cut the stock studs down  unless your wheels have pretty deep pockets they can sit in ... i too almlst bought bora spacer but decided to get stahl spacers instead ... bora and stahl are the same company .. bora are aluminum stahl are steel. I prefer the steel (personal preference) but from what I gathered through hours of researching you can't really get much better than bora/stahl ... i haven't got mine yet(OTR truck driver and haven't been home lol) but the 3-4 week wait imo is worth it since they are built to order and top of the line.

I've never seen Stahl spacers . Where did you get them?

We need to see some pics of your truck Fatman.

    • I went through again with a test light and everything checked out.    I suppose it could be the MAF itself but I've tried 3 different sensors, 2 of which were in running vehicles previously (the one in this truck, and the one in the donor truck), as well as a new one I picked up from NAPA. I would just be surprised if all 3 were bad.   EDIT/UPDATE: I swapped in the MAP sensor that was originally with the 2010 PCM, that made the code for map sensor voltage high Go away, and the map sensor seems to read normal with key on engine off (14psi or so), but it still doesn't run and does the same thing as before.
    • In addition to a cell or wifi connection, the infotainment needs to be enabled to download software updates. That's a toggle within the system settings.   But...if the truck was prevented from receiving updates in a past life, missing a bunch of updates may mean it won't go back and download all of those because they're not available or the system is too far out of date.   If a formal recall depends on a software update, the recall for that truck remains in an open status until it's applied. The dealer would need to apply the software update in that instance.   Most updates downloaded and applied via the infotainment aren't recalls/safety recalls, they're enhancements and usability fixes which aren't critical.
    • Recently I've been getting a message, "New Brake Pads Detected. Reset Brake Pad Life?", But I haven't had the pads replaced and the truck only has 28,000 miles. The Brake Pad Life shows Front 64% and Rear 79%. I select NO to resetting the brake pad life and the message goes away but comes back at the nest restart.   I stopped by the dealer and was told that it sounds like a software glitch that would require reprogramming. Even though I have the extended warranty, they tell me that reprogramming is not covered unless a module was actually bad and needed to be replaced. Simply reprogramming is not covered. So, they want $200.00 just to diagnose the problem. If it turns out no bad module, another charge on top of that to do the reprogramming. If the cause was an actual bad module, everything would be covered under the warranty.   Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Should this issue be covered under the warranty?   Thanks
    • NHT is diesel only, correct.     The GVWRs for NHT on 3/4 ton bring them to the same numbers as many of the 2WD 1 tons.  A crew 4x4 standard 3/4 with NHT is 11,750lbs, a 1 ton same cab/box/4x4 is 12,100lbs.     Hubs and hub bearings are the same for 11.5" and 12" axles.  Housing, diff carrier and ring/pinion are larger for the 12".   All gas use the 11.5" axle, 3/4, 1 ton and 1 ton DRW.
