I have a Chevy Silverado 2014 and 154,000, I was driving I almost hit someone cause my brake pedal got so stiff and now is just wondering what could be the problem. Can anyone help me please if you had this issue thanks

Did you go over any bumps while you were braking?

No i was coming to a red light and all the sudden i have no brake it so stiff and I couldn’t stop some how something told me hit the emergency brake and thanks God i didn’t kill my self. After i parked and my truck didn’t have brake. So now im doing research and looking for advice.

There is a TSB out for the vacuum pump and some lines to be replaced.  That's the only thing that will fix it.

Check for metal shavings in your oil.

Failed Vacuum pumps on K2 trucks led to some issues of metal entering the engine.
