LED headlights

Good morning all, I'm looking to remove the halogen headlights and install LED lights. Does anyone know if the 2015 Silverado 1500 is a CANBUS system? If so what LED lights and defeaters did you use? Thanks

do you have projector or reflector headlights. if you have projector go with hids

Don't put LEDs in if you're not willing to pay the premium for ones that mimic the halogen, such as diode dynamics SL1

If it was me I would stay away from any LED that has a fan.

I like these. Best warranty, nice price and no fan.

 

I have been debating getting these LEsS for all my truck lights. High , low and fog.

Through emails with this company they say they design the LEDs for each application.

Horrible advise. Fans are how they cool. You listed overpriced garbage that will blind other drivers.

No, Just know quality lights from hot garbage lights. Do some research. Those will blind oncoming traffic.

Read the reviews on yours then mine. Look at the product pictures. Look at the company reputation. Who wouldn't spend $50 more and get the best product for this application? The ones I listed are actually showing his vehicle unlike the generic ****** pic others use.

Reviews are opinions and I like to evaluate things myself so reviews don't mean a lot to me.

I certainly appreciate the input. Does any one know if I will need the warning cancellers? My last car had a CANBUS system where the computer monitored the whole car.

I would not buy the junk from headlight experts posted above. I would buy the diode dynamics bulbs.

 

Putting led's into projector housings is generally a bad idea because most LEDs are not designed  for that type of housing, they're often cheap sales gimmicky products that won't give you a good result. It doesn't matter how bright the light is if you are spraying it everywhere but the road.

 

And Led's are okay, but I prefer a good HID retrofit to led light, maybe in the future LED's will catch up
