ACDelco DexosD 0w20 is a full synthetic.  Its the same exact product as the Mobil Super 3000 XE2 0W20 which is DexosD approved.

The Mobil 1 you are using is DexosD approved per Mobil 1, its just not on the gmdexos site for whatever reason.  Its good that there is an alternative besides having to go to the dealer for DIYers.     

 

Your service department is wrong also.  GM switched out to full synthetic for the ACDelco oils 5w30 and 0w20 gas applications as of 2016.

Yep. And they are of decent quality. I don't shy away from using Mobil products. But then there's the really good stuff like Amsoil and Motul. I use those in my racing applications. My point is that "full synthetic" is not what people think it is. Only "100% synthetic" is actually synthetic.

You might be confusing GAS motor oil with Diesel motor oil?

NO ...  that's the correct oil.

Your correct it's for the 3.0l  Check out that price?  Ouch....I really am thinking about getting the 3.0 someday hope it treats ya good!

I haven't followed Mobil 1 prices in a while. Is $10/quart a lot? I usually pay like 15/quart for Motul

Yeah .. .$10  isn't out of this world.

 

By next year it should be available in the 5qt jugs along with a lower price.
