Ventilated.

If only the rest of the ram worked as good as the seat coolers haha

No kidding. The ram AC was weak. My truck's AC is fantastic.

Picked up a 2020 CC LTZ in March and traded in an 05 2500 so my only experience with seat coolers is the wife's Hyundai.

Compared to the Hyundai, I would rate the new  Silverado seats at a 4-5.

Anyone know if the Silverado has just the seat or  both seat and back cooling fans?

If it is supposed to have  back cooling, then I would change my rating to a 2.

The A/C is cold enough to hang meat in there. LOL

Fart fans in the seats are barely ok IMO. Yeah, they're nice to have, but I never think about them. Only when the wife is with me and turns her side on. I guess she's used to it driving in her Caddy. I don't care one way or another, but the fans in the Cadillac are stronger than the ones in the truck.

As far as the A/C goes, on a super hot day sitting in a restaurant parking lot, it's very wise to remote start the truck near the end of the meal to get the A/C cooling on. For whatever reason, at first start in high heat, it takes a longer amount of time for the 410A coolant (I think they're using that) to get cold than any other vehicle I've ever owned. Could be a lot of real estate in the ducting to have to cool down, I don't know. But lordy when it gets there it's a meat locker.

Also depends on what vent locations (and fan settings) are being used for the A/C.

As previously posted, effectiveness depends on how cold the air is that is near the intake for the seat ventilator.

Well... the seats are not “cooled”. They are vented. If you’re getting air flow the all is well.

Until the cab gets cool, around the intake, it won’t blow cold air through the seats.

Vented seats are not plumbed into the A/C duct work.

Anyone know if there is a fan(s) on the back also or just in the seat?

I feel something on my lumbar area when I turn it on.

Here's a thought. My 2020 sierra HD. Works great, and anyone with a skinny a** like mine would be just fine, cant leave it on high for more than a minute. All in good fun.

I think they mean that people of normal BMI don't require constant refrigeration.
